****************************************************************** ShadowGram Online Dark Shadows Updates List Marcy Robin's Cyberspace "Dark Shadows" Update List An Internet Publication of SHADOWGRAM < ShadowGram@aol.com > Number 109. January 16, 2004. ****************************************************************** Hello, Dark Shadows Fan, ShadowGram (SG) announces the following breaking news for Dark Shadows (DS). *** Dan Curtis Productions (DCP) asks SG to announce the following Update messages. These initially were reported in recent SG Online Updates to this List and in print issue SG #100 in December. The upcoming SG #101 and subsequent postal-mail print issues and this List will provide the latest confirmed developments. --- DARK SHADOWS 2004 "Dan Curtis continues to develop with producer John Wells a possible new DS primetime series for the Warner Brothers (WB) network. A pilot script is currently being written. Should it be approved, a one-hour pilot episode would be filmed this spring for consideration as a Fall 2004 weekly series. A decision to put the show on the air would likely be made by May, when the new season schedules are announced for all the major national networks." DCP and SG emphasize the script is only in progress. No definite decision is expected for some time yet. --- DS ON TV "DS recently ended a successful 10-year run on the Sci-Fi Channel (SFC). DS was the first show SFC acquired. The channel launched in Sept., 1992, and DS was the only vintage show that remained on its schedule in recent years. "SFC aired DS 4 times through with the exception of the pre-Barnabas shows, which aired 3 times. SFC now is pursuing other, more contemporary program opportunities on their schedule. They have given DS a good run and will not be renewing the show. Fans should not write to SFC. "Instead, discussions are underway with ABC SoapNet to pick up DS reruns in 2004. It therefore is suggested that fans send thoughtful letters of encouragement to: SoapNet, Programming, 500 S. Buena Vista St., Burbank, CA 91521. "SG will update any progress in each upcoming SG print issue and on this List." --- 40TH ANNIVERSARY TRIBUTE TO DAN CURTIS "On Thursday, April 22, The Museum of Television & Radio will present 'War, Shadows and The Night Stalker: A Conversation with Dan Curtis,' from 7:00-8:30 p.m., at its Beverly Hills location, 465 N.
