Kaufman/Moss Hart comedy "You Can't Take It With You." It runs at the Brentwood Theater in Brentwood (West Los Angeles) through 5-22. The theater is the temporary venue for the renowned Geffen Playhouse, which is undergoing major renovations. The Brentwood, with approximately 500 seats, is located on the grounds of the Veterans Administration at 11301 Wilshire Blvd., Building 211, Brentwood (West Los Angeles). Highland Ave., Hollywood, CA 90028. 323-856-1200. "As previously announced, the Weekend will offer a special tribute to the show's own star of the Golden Era of Hollywood films, Miss Joan Bennett. "Joan starred on DS from the first episode (6-27-66) to the final episode (4-2-71). She played several prominent roles, including Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, Naomi Collins, Judith Collins and Flora Collins. But from the 1920s-1960s, she starred in dozens of motion pictures, appearing with such actors as Cary Grant, Spencer Tracy, Henry Fonda, Gregory Peck, Humphrey Bogart, Bing Crosby, Edward G. Robinson, Fred McMurray, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., James Mason, George Raft, and many others. "The DS Weekend will, fittingly, take a look back at Joan's illustrious career as a film star, featuring highlight clips, remembrances from the DS stars, and an on-stage appearance by Joan's oldest daughter, Diana Anderson.
