She will sign copies of the book each day of the weekend event.. She says she used "lots of photos, playbills, and reviews to jog her memory and she shares them all with the reader." Her memories and photos detail her many stage and TV roles performing with famed artists like Jackie Gleason, Ethel Merman, Gwen Verdon, Robert Goulet, and others. There's a large DS section with her pictures and recollections too. She's "especially excited that Jonathan Frid did the Foreword. On top of that, her good friend, Ruth Buzzi, did the Preface." Marie admits "it was quite an experience recalling all the events of her life from the moment she was born." With its insights and humor, the 202-page paperback is sure to be wonderful reading for DS fans as well as fans of classic Broadway dramatic and musical comedy theater. ISBN: 0-595-35877-2. Price is $17.95 + p/h. You can get a preview by going to iUniverse.com/bookstore and searching for "On Stage & In Shadows."
