Highland Ave. at Hollywood Boulevard Hollywood, CA 90029 (323) 856-1200 * NANCY BARRETT'S MUSICAL PERFORMANCE On Sunday afternoon, July 31, Nancy (Carolyn, Millicent, Pansy, etc.) presents a new Hollywood-themed program titled "Oh, To Be a Movie Star!" She will perform several musical selections, accompanied by pianist Steven Silverstein. * CHARITY AUCTION OFFERS UNIQUE DS PROPS An annual Fest highlight is the charity auction, this year to be held one day only, on Saturday afternoon, July 30. Many DS-related items are offered for highest bid and proceeds benefit this year's charity, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. We are pleased to offer 2 actual props from NBC's 1991 DS primetime revival TV series. One is the original Blue Whale neon-light sign. The other is the actual model of "Collinwood" seen in the opening credits and in other footage during the TV series. This scaled-down model represents Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills, where exterior and interior footage was shot for the 1991 TV program and also for the unaired 2004 DS pilot. The pilot will be screened in its entirety for the first time ever on Saturday evening, July 30. * NOTE: The Weekend schedule was announced in SG Online DS News Update #136 last week. Based on a true legal case, the comedy tells the story of Bailey, a dog who is the sole designated heir after his billionaire owner dies. The woman's outraged relatives try every trick they can to get the inheritance for themselves. Bailey - who speaks with the voice of Jon Lovitz - has his own family to think about and care for, so he finds some human champions to defend his inheritance and his honor.
