Actor Hart Bochner also participates. (More info in SG #98 print issue and SG Online Update ##90.) Dan Curtis Productions (DCP) has asked that all chat questions must be submitted in advance and must pertain to W&R. Questions must be received at the website no later than midnight tomorrow night, Tues., Mar. 25. The chat is between 4:00-5:00 Pacific Time on www.darkshadowsdvd.com W&R was the sequel to Dan's highly-rated 1983 miniseries WINDS OF WAR. He won the Emmy, Golden Globe, People's Choice, Directors Guild, and other awards for W&R. Filmed in landmark locations worldwide, it continued the story of a family caught up in the sweeping global events of World War II. Called WAR & REMEMBRANCE - THE FINAL CHAPTER, the 6-disc boxed set is released by MPI on Tues., Mar. 25. * JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT (1991 David, Daniel) voiced the lead character "Jim Hawkins" in Disney's "Treasure Planet." It was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Animated Feature Film, but did not win the Oscar at last night's awards ceremony. * SG apologizes for any inconvenience: An incorrect local phone area code accidentally was given in the new print issue SG #98. The correct area code for the Brooklyn Marriott Hotel is (718), so the local phone number for the hotel is (718) 246-7000. The 2003 DS Festival convention will be held at the hotel over the Labor Day weekend, Aug. 29-31 (a group bus trip to "Collinwood" and "Blue Whale" filming sites in Newport, RI, is on Mon., Sept. 1 - Labor Day). The hotel has special reduced room rates available when you mention the DS Festival. Room reservations are recommended via the above phone number or by using the toll-free Reservations Line: (888) 436-3759. SG #98 has the premiere announcement of the tentative Fest guest list and more details. * Due to a computer "glitch", the following information was inadvertently not included in print issue SG #98. This omission was not discovered until after the issue went to print. THE HALL FAMILY - GRAYSON (Julia, Natalie, Magda, NODS' Carlotta) / SAM (1966-71 & 1991 DS Writer) / MATTHEW (1991 DS Writer) Grayson succumbed to cancer 8-85 after acting in film, TV guest roles, and theater. She was nominated for the 1964 Supporting Actress Oscar as teacher "Judith Fellowes" in NIGHT OF THE IGUANA. Sam wrote for other soaps and was Head Writer for ONE LIFE TO LIVE when Grayson played "Euphemia Ralston" in 1983. Their son Matthew has 2 published psychological thriller novels: "Nightmare Logic" (out of print) and "The Art of Breaking Glass," also on audio cassette. After DS ended, Sam wrote an article for TV Guide 10-9-70, expressing some ideas about what could have happened to the main characters. When Grayson died, SG printed many media obituaries for her, Joel Crothers, and HODS cinematographer Arthur Ornitz, who also died within that period. To meet demand, photocopies of Sam's article and the SG obituary pages are available; send a large SASE to SG. Thank you. Marcy Robin ShadowGram Editor / Publisher Marcy Robin, P.O.
