******************************************************************* ShadowGram Online Dark Shadows Updates List Marcy Robin's Cyberspace "Dark Shadows" Update List An Internet Publication of SHADOWGRAM < ShadowGram@aol.com > Number 95. May 4, 2003. ******************************************************************* Hello, Dark Shadows Fan, ShadowGram (SG) announces the following breaking news for Dark Shadows (DS): * A SG Bonus Special Announcement Postcard is being mailed to all current postal-mail subscribers to the ShadowGram print newsletters. It is sent free to all print issue subscribers to update them on key news and is not counted on anyone's paid subscription. The postcard notes the DS Festival's announcement that, after the Aug. 29-31 Fest at the Brooklyn (NY) Marriott Hotel, the convention will change its traditional 3-day format (Fri.- Sun.). (Also see SG Online Update #94) This is the 20th Anniversary of the Festival. Since 1983, many DS cast/crew guests, and fans from almost every state and other countries, have gathered to enjoy a full slate of DS-related programming. The postcard emphasizes the Fest will "offer fresh and new ideas," presenting future "special and exciting events for fans to enjoy, the first of which will be announced later this year." * Due to recent technical difficulties, the Fest's online update list has been lost. Online fans who contacted the Fest website to be included on the Fest list are asked to please resubmit their e-mail addresses to pansyfaye@darkshadowsfestival.com to receive further Fest updates. Therefore, the Fest now asks SG to relay the following message: "The DS Festival has announced this year's 20th Anniversary Celebration will be its last 3-day convention. But this is not the end of Festival-sponsored events. In order to offer new ideas, the 3-day format is being modified. "Over the past 2 decades, the Festival has been dedicated to providing fans with the best possible value, and current economic conditions indicate that other opportunities should be explored to continue that tradition. "Starting in 2004, the Festival plans to present other special and exciting events for fans to enjoy, the first of which will be announced later this year. "Meanwhile, we hope you will join us on Labor Day weekend at the Brooklyn Marriott for this memorable 3-day Festival. "Your comments are gratefully received and welcomed" to pansyfaye@darkshadowsfestival.com SG looks forward to announcing these future events and activities. The SG print issues and this SG Updates List will highlight them as they are confirmed, with ongoing detailed reports and updates about each. * SG Postcard Premiere Announcement: Dan Curtis Productions (DCP) asks SG to announce: "Coming up soon during the Leviathan sequence, a group of episodes will air in their correct order for the first time on the Sci Fi Channel. The correct sequence is Episodes #961-962-963-964." (They previously ran as #963-964-961-962.) Thank you. Marcy Robin ShadowGram Editor / Publisher Marcy Robin, P.O.
