It showcases the 2001 Museum of TV & Radio Tribute to DS as a "35th Anniversary Celebration." SG Premiere Announcement from MPI: The following bonus features are planned for the DVD edition. --- JONATHAN FRID's complete 1969 appearance on the Merv Griffin Show --- A pair of original 1969 DS TV promotional spots with KATHRYN LEIGH SCOTT --- Additionally, both the DVD and VHS versions will have a bonus behind-the-scenes music montage from the Museum Tribute. SG Exclusive: VHS box notes: "Creator and executive producer Dan Curtis reunites for the first time with cast and production members to reminisce together and enjoy some of the program's most memorable moments, offering an in-depth look at why Dark Shadows' popularity has endured for over three decades…. Q&A with cast and production personnel courtesy of The Museum of Television & Radio." (VHS - ISBN #0-7886-0353-1) Guests Dan Curtis, Nancy Barrett, Robert Cobert, Roger Davis, Kate Jackson, John Karlen, Jerry Lacy, Alexandra Moltke, Lara Parker, Chris Pennock, Robert Rodan, Mitchell Ryan, Kathryn Leigh Scott, David Selby, James Storm, Lela Swift, and Sy Tomashoff attended this momentous Tribute. MPI says "The DVD will be available in late September and the VHS will debut at the DS Festival convention in Brooklyn, Aug. 29-31." * MPI and Dan Curtis Productions (DCP) ask SG to relay this message: MPI Home Video's June release of DS DVD Collection 6 includes the infamous 1795 storyline episode where the character of Bathia Mapes (actress ANITA BOLSTER) attempts to exorcise Barnabas' curse. Surprisingly to fans and to MPI, the episode as shown on the DVD is slightly edited to delete the legendary blooper: Anita forgets her line, so producer Bob Costello calls it out to her. MPI and DCP tell SG: "The edit was not intentional and we are committed to releasing all episodes as originally aired. All the episodes have been digitally re-mastered, and it appears that the restoration facility that was used to digitize the episodes for the Dan Curtis Productions archives trimmed out the blooper without permission. "Additionally, the Bathia blooper will be included on the DVD release of 'Dark Shadows Bloopers' in the coming year from MPI, along with other surprises." Thank you.
